The Snow Creek Houck Conservation Easement is located in the valley south of the head of Discovery Bay., south and west of Hwy 101, West of W. Uncas Road, Jefferson County, Washington in the northeast portion of the Olympic Peninsula. Jefferson Land Trust and Chumsortium partners have worked to protect important habitat in the Discovery Bay Estuary and in the riparian watersheds of both Salmon and Snow Creeks as they come through the valley from the foothills of the Olympics. The Snow Creek Houck conservation easement protects all of the property totaling about 80 acres.  Grant funds from the Salmon Recovery Funding Board were used to acquire the easement.  The primary purpose of the Snow Creek Houck conservation easement is to protect the salmon habitat and agricultural values on the property.
