The Upper East Fork Tarboo easement was acquired in 2006 with county Conservation Futures funds. The easement protects 47 acres of recently harvested land from further subdivision and development. The goal is to allow the forest to return to old growth characteristics to provide habitat and pretect water quality in the Tarboo watershed.
