Opportunity Fund to Focus on "Conservation that Feeds our Future"

Jefferson Land Trust established our Opportunity Fund in 2005 as a way for our donors to make financial contributions that directly support land acquisition. We use the Opportunity Fund in numerous ways: for example, to pay for appraisals and surveys, to purchase options on land, to prepare conservation easements, to serve as local match for state and federal land protection grants. The Opportunity Fund also gives us flexible access to capital when land protection opportunities arise for which grant funding is not immediately available.
