Our Partners
Jefferson Land Trust collaborates with many local and state governments, agencies, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in land acquisition, restoration, and stewardship. For example, we are a member of a collaborative group called the "Chumsortium", founded in 2001, which meets monthly to discuss protection, restoration, funding, and education needs related to salmon habitat. The Chumsortium received a 2001 Environmental Achievement Award from the Hood Canal Coordinating Council. Many of the Chumsortium partners also participate in the Snow Creek and Salmon Creek Technical Advisory Group, which received a 2005 Organization of the Year Award from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
