Merl and Marion Meacham lived on their 40 acres for more than 40 years, and selectively harvested its timber resources to supplement their income.

Timber harvesting is allowed under the easement, but the land may not be subdivided or developed for residential, commercial, or industrial uses.

A one-acre portion of the property has been reserved for one single-family residence.

Owners' Intent

Preserve open space, protect scenic values, maintain wildlife values, conduct selective timber harvest and limit development potential of the property.

Plants and Wildlife

Dominant trees are Western Red Cedar and Big Leaf Maple with some Western Hemlock, Red Alder, and Douglas Fir scattered throughout. Coyote and deer common.

Priority Species

Band-tailed pigeons, pileated woodpecker, bald eagle
