Seventy-five acres of prime salmon and wildlife habitat upstream from the Dosewallips State Park was acquired in 2004 and 2005 by Jefferson County. The county hired Jefferson Land Trust to facilitate the acquisitions from 5 separate landowners. Most of the properties will be passed to the State Park for long term management.
