The Graves conservation easement of approximately 1.5 acres is located near the Chimacum intersection of Beaver Valley Road. The conservation easement protects a 50-foot buffer along 1,600 feet of East Chimacum Creek. Stream restoration and replanting was completed in 2005 by the Land Trust and the North Olympic Salmon Coalition

Owners' Intent

Improve salmon habitat and water quality in this portion of E. Chimacum Creek.

Plants and Wildlife

The creek is home to Steelhead, Cutthoat, Rainbow Trout, Coho Salmon, Sculpin, Thereespine Stickleback, Newt, Lamprey, and Crayfish. Heron, coyote, deer raccoon and songbirds reside on the property as well as raptor and eagles frequenting the area.
