Volunteer
Jefferson Land Trust has succeeded because of our dedicated volunteers - those people who cannot imagine their lives without the nesting bald eagles, the salmon returning to spawn, and our scenic views along the central valleys. Your ongoing volunteer support is the only way to ensure the protection and stewardship of the wild spaces and memory places in Jefferson County.
Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to:
- Office Assistance – answering phones, mailings, filing, database management
- Events - planning, presentations, guest reception
- Stewardship - workdays at nature preserves, trail maintenance, rubbish removal, invasive plant removal
- Committees - land protection, fund development
- Fundraising - grant research, develop donation materials, database management
- Education - attend city/county planning meetings, educate legislators/developers/public about our properties
- Outreach - develop materials/events for: resident relations, developer outreach, governmental relations/education, community outreach
